About Me

I am a kind, confident and committed tutor, whose approach is enriched with 1000+ hours experience in delivering successful private tuition for children and teenagers.

I have tutored since 2014 with a 100% success rate. ‘Success’ has ranged from tutees securing multiple and unconditional offers from the UK’s most competitive independent senior schools to beating their predicted GCSE grades.

A natural communicator and passionate linguist, my academic background is flawless. I was educated at Cheltenham College, Gloucestershire (achieving 3x As at A Level in English, French and Latin, alongside an AEA in Latin) and graduated with a First Class BA in Classics from Durham University, where I held the Maltby Academic Prize and Vice Chancellors Scholarship for Excellence in each year of study.

However, I appreciate that not everyone enjoys Latin grammar, French translation and English Literature analysis as much as I do! I therefore take great pride in making learning relevant for every student. This has seen me teach Latin using Disney films, liken French grammar skills to hockey match tactics and compare essay structures to make-up routines

Alongside my calm and approachable manner, anyone I tutor also benefits from my first-hand insight into school admissions criteria and national exam boards.

Above all, I hugely believe in the importance of fun and strong communication skills, across all aspects of life. This pervades my teaching approach and its impact is clear from the resulting joy, motivation and academic improvement of all my students. For proof of this, please read Parent Testimonials here
